I had a wonderful week away - although it already seems a distant memory. But first a card I made for a family friend before I went away. It needed to have shells on it, and so I stamped 3 shells from the "By the tide" stamp set in hello honey onto a piece of whisper white card that I cut out with my large deco label framelit and my big shot. I left the die in place and inked around the edge with lost lagoon ink. I stamped the sentiment from the wonderful "Feel Goods" set onto the label shape with night of navy ink. I stamped a further 2 shells in hello honey ink onto some whisper white card and cut them out with my paper snips. I mounted these onto the label with dimensional foam pads to give them height. Onto an 8" square white card blank I created the layers with some lost lagoon card, 2 different patterned papers from the maritime dsp collection and some hello honey cardstock. I stamped a "happy birthday" greeting from the "Something to say" set in night of navy ink. I attached the label shape on the top with dimensional foam pads and used some thick bakers twine to form a double bow, which I attached with a glue dot.

It would be very smooth to follow this up with a picture of me standing by the sea on my holiday - but we didn't go to the sea. That doesn't mean however that we didn't spend quite a bit of time around water - and luckily it wasn't rain water.
We enjoyed a lovely sunny week in the beautiful Brecon Beacons, an area I hadn't visited before, but which I certainly hope to visit again. It was very tranquil and was not very commercialised. Heavenly.
I have so much going on at the moment Blog land has taken a bit of a back seat, but it is lovely to be able to take a couple of minutes to share with you.
There are lots of lovely goodies in the weekly deals this week, so check those out here.
Now I am back from my holiday I am really keen to get a few parties booked in so people can take advantage of the free stamp set available to hostesses at the moment. It is a really versatile and useful stamp set that will carry you through the year offering sentiments for a host of occasions. If you are wondering whether you might like a party, get in contact.
Hope it won't be so long before I am back with you
Helen
