Choose Happiness

Stampin' Up have a few of these collage style stamp sets and I really love working with them.  The one featured today is called "Choose Happiness" and this lovely sentiment is featured in the set.

For the floral card, I stamped the leaves all around the edge of some white card in mint macaron and then stamped 2 flowers in watermelon wonder. I then used an aqua painter to pull in some colour to give a water coloured look. On separate pieces of card I stamped the wood effect banner in tip top taupe, and both  the "choose happiness" sentiment and "when I needed a friend you were there" sentiment in watermelon wonder. I cut out the banner and the long sentiment. I used a now retired punch to punch out the other sentiment. Using mint macaron I inked the edge of the card and the edges of the 2 sentiments. I stuck the banner on with glue and then using dimensionals I added the sentiments. I matted the card on to tip taupe card, before adhering it to a A6 card blank.

The second card is a simple 4" square card. The leaves are left stamped as simple outlines in Garden Green. The wood banners are in soft suede. The happy birthday sentiment and bird are both stamped in pacific point. The sentiment comes from the "endless birthday wishes" set. I inked the edges with pacific point. The rose red flowers are punched using the flower from the itty bitty accents punch pack and I added silver sparkle dazzling details to the centre of each one before attaching them with glue.

These stamp sets are timeless and are useful for adding added elements to enhance all sorts of cards as well as being very useful as stand alone sets.
