A tail of three dogs

Finally got the chance this evening to craft with some of my new things and so I had a play with the "Hot Diggity Dog" set. The child in me can't resist a bit of mix and match with dog heads and bodies.

I have been a Stampin' Up demonstrator since last November and I am still building up my collection of stamp pads. I have recently added the "subtles" collection to my stash and so I decided to use some colours out of this palette for my dogs.

Using my Stamp-a-ma-jig, I added head to body, stamping both parts in marina mist ink. Using the same colour I added some bones and one of the canine sentiments.
I used one of my new stencils to create the background on the card blank, again using marina mist ink to sponge through the starry stencil.
I picked a paper from the "all abloom" collection. there are some really pretty floral patterns in this collection - but for this card I choose a striped paper. I punched some banners out of the same paper. I layered up the paper and topper and then added the banner with dimensionals.

It had to be pink pirouette for this poodle. I used the other stencil out of my new set to create the heart background and I used my scalloped circle punch and label punch to create the toppers. To add some bling, I used metallic bakers twine and dazzling details.

The third dog was stamped in calypso coral and then both the dog and the sentiment were die cut using one of the chalk talk framelits. I punched out some bones and coloured some simply pressed clay buttons with my calypso coral marker to match. I created my card background using a retired washi tape - but there are tapes in the current catalogue that would work as well - the crushed curry tape from the "beach house" collection or what about one from the "epic day" set.

I do love these little guys. If you are more of a cat person, do not fear - "You little furball" is a mix and match cat version and as we have both a cat and a dog, this one is on my wish list too.

I have listed below items i have either used or mentioned in passing. Clicking on them will take you through to my online store.

I think that is enough crafty excitement for one day.
