Whichever way you choose to look at it, don't miss out on all the exciting things. As well as the scrumptious new in colours in inks, card, paper, ribbon and embellishments and the huge range of new stamps - including photopolymer stamps for the first time; you will also find blendabilities - the new range of alcohol markers and of course the eagerly awaited exclusive "project life" range.

As part of my display for my launch party on Saturday, I took one stamp, "I like you" - a beautiful sketched floral design, that is only available to you if you host a party- and I used 4 different techniques to show its versatility. It also highlights the uses for the different types of ink

For this card I inked the stamp using stampin write markers in wisteria wonder, rich razzleberry, crushed curry and old olive. I then used a blender pen to drag the colour out to give it a very soft watercolour effect. I used 2 of the deco label framelits - one to cut out the image, the smaller one to create an inner border. the ink in these pens is the same as that in our classic pads and can be used to watercolour and works with the fabulous blender pens.

For this second card, I wiped the card with the embossing buddy, inked the stamp with VersaMark ink and stamped onto blackberry bliss card stock. I then heat embossed it with white emboss powder. This was finished off with the new mossy meadow stitched satin ribbon. I love the richness and feel of this ribbon. The VersaMark ink has a sticky quality to it which enables the embossing powder to stick to it. You can also use it with chalks and mica powders.

Card no.3 was stamped onto watercolour card with black stayzon ink (don't forget your stamp cleaner). I then used aqua painters and ink from the ink pads in melon mambo, blackberry bliss and mossy meadow to watercolour the flowers.
To make a little palette of colour in the lid of your stamp pad lid, simply press down firmly on the lid when it is in a closed position.
Again a strip of that beautiful mossy meadow ribbon was added.
The Stayzon ink is an alcohol based ink which makes it water proof so that it doesn't smudge when you watercolour the image. You can also use it to stamp onto surfaces such as fabric, glass, window sheets.

The final card in the series was stamped with Memento ink onto whisper white card and was then coloured with my lovely new blendability pens, using three sets - cherry cobbler, old olive and daffodil delight. Each set comes with three pens in a light, medium and dark shade to allow for easy blending and shading. I have lots of practising to do, but you do easily and quickly start to get professional looking results.
Because thepensare alcohol based youcan't use an ink like Stayzon because they will react with each other and smudge. Memento is the ink recommended for any alcohol markers and our blendabilities are no exception. It is a fade resistant dye based ink.
