A Bit of a Berry Merry Christmas

The Berry Merry bundle in the Autumn Winter Catalogue consists of the "boughs and berries" textured  impressions embossing folder and the "berry Merry" stamp set. The stamp set is a lovely mixture of large sentiments and lots of small elements you can use to build up your cards.
It was this bundle I used to create this collection of cards.
This first one was created by embossing white card and then colouring in the images with stampin markers. The "Joy"sentiment was stamped onto the centre panel - which was shaped using the fabulous curvy corner trio punch, also found in the seasonal catalogue. Some bling was added with some gold glitz dazzling details used to create the dotted border. A bit of matting and layering, including some mirri card and the card is complete.

Another "Joy" card, this time surrounded by stamped smaller images. Even the little bow comes from this collection. The front was cut into a banner, mounted on silver mirri card and a faux stitched border was added. The banner was then mounted onto a mat of wisteria wonder card that had been embossed with the decorative dots before giving this a nice silver mirri board mat as well. Simple but effective

Even more joy. Cherry cobbler card was embossed with the "boughs and berries" folder and then I used the now retired gold encore metallic ink to brush over the top of the card to highlight the embossing. Some gold and cherry cobbler ribbon was wrapped around the card. I stamped "Joy" onto some white card with versamark and embossed it with cherry cobbler powder. I then die cut this card and the gold mirri card mat. The snowflake is one of the wooden embellishments, dipped in versamark and coated with matching embossing powder. i love these little wooden decorative elememts.

A Change of greeting, but again I stamped the main sentiment and then created the border using the smaller elements

And a final burst of seasons greetings. The main panel on this easel card was stamped with Marina mist ink. The mats were shaped using the curvy trio punch. I then tapped versamark all over the front of the image, on both sentiment panels and covered with iridescent ice embossing powder. The camera doesn't really do justice to the bling.

So just one of the bundles from the seasonal catalogue can give you scope for lots of techniques - and at £18.50 for the bundle, extremely good value.

I am never very organised with making my Christmas cards and to date the only ones I have completed are the samples I have created for groups. If you want to be more organised than me, check out the seasonal catalogue and get your order in for supplies. There are also some lovely Christmas sets in the main annual catalogue.

Happy Stamping
